Dejan Micic, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology at Loyola University Medical Center. His clinical expertise includes the management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), adult clinical nutrition and small bowel disorders. After completing a clinical fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Chicago, Dr. Micic underwent advanced training at Northwestern University, specializing in nutrition support.
Dr. Micic’s clinical practice encompasses the management of IBD, celiac disease, intestinal failure, and small bowel bleeding. His research interests focus on the impact of diet on IBD, the role of parenteral nutrition in liver disease development, and the longitudinal care of patients with small bowel bleeding.
